Bio
Corby based Veins fuse gritty bass, hypnotic drums and atmospheric guitars with melodic vocals and big riffs to create a sound that is emotionally charged and expansive.
Since their debut single Ambi, the band have earned strong reviews, international radio play, including recognition from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1, and played shows across the UK and Europe, steadily building a reputation for powerful and immersive live performances.
Collectively, the members of Veins, Stevie Rees (vocals/guitar), Dan Appleyard (drums), Scott Warner (bass) and Luke Smith (guitar/vocals), bring years of experience touring across the UK, Europe and Japan in a diverse range of projects spanning Indie, Electronic, Rock and Metal. These varied influences converge to form Veins’ distinctive and hard-to-define sound, often described as brooding and cinematic, and spanning genres such as alt-rock, shoegaze and post-rock.
June 2026 sees the release of the band’s debut album, a record they have been working on for some time and one that fully realises the scope of Veins’ sound; expansive, immersive and emotionally charged. Blending weight and atmosphere with sharp songwriting, the album marks a defining moment for the band and sets the stage for the next chapter of Veins’ journey.
Influences: Smashing Pumpkins, Sigor Ros, Swervedriver, Deftones, The Cure, Devil Sold His Soul, The Elijah and Hans Zimmer.
