We’re incredibly excited to announce that The Charlatans will be headlining Saturday night at Roseshire Festival 2026 — and what a way to launch our very first year.
Since breaking through in 1990, The Charlatans have become one of the UK’s most loved and enduring bands. Rooted in indie but never confined by it, their sound has evolved beautifully over the decades, weaving together psychedelia, soul, funk and rock, all while staying unmistakably Charlatans.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, their catalogue is nothing short of iconic. Three UK Number 1 albums — Some Friendly, The Charlatans and Tellin’ Stories — sit alongside another seven Top 10 records, proving they are very much an albums band as well as masters of the hit single. Songs like The Only One I Know, One To Another, North Country Boy and How High remain instantly recognisable and continue to soundtrack countless memories for fans old and new.
That depth of hits makes The Charlatans an incredible live band. Whether headlining legendary venues such as the O2 Academy Brixton and the Royal Albert Hall, appearing at major festivals including Glastonbury, Reading and the Isle of Wight, or joining stadium tours with artists like Liam Gallagher and Gerry Cinnamon, their performances are packed with energy, emotion and sing-along moments.
Their journey hasn’t been without heartbreak. The tragic loss of keyboardist Rob Collins in 1996 and drummer Jon Brookes in 2013 were devastating blows. Yet the band — Tim Burgess, Martin Blunt, Mark Collins and Tony Rogers — have continued to honour their legacy by pushing forward, creating new music and delivering unforgettable live shows for their loyal fanbase.
Critically acclaimed releases have continued well into recent years, with 2017’s A Different Days receiving widespread praise and being described by The Guardian as “their best album in 20 years”. In 2024, the band toured North America with Ride, played UK festivals, and saw Tim Burgess receive the inaugural Northern Music Award — a fitting recognition of their lasting impact on British music.
As they prepare new releases and major plans beyond 2025, we’re proud to welcome The Charlatans to Northamptonshire as our Saturday headliners. Expect timeless songs, huge atmosphere and a proper end-of-summer celebration in the heart of Northamptonshire.
